will my lovebirds open their cage by themselves?

i just brought a pair of lovebirds 2 days ago they are in a cage thae cage has a place to keep food that we can open by lifting up the door and take out the dish in which the food is kept now one of my bird is trying to lift up the food dish he might have seen me doing so so i tied the door with a steal wire but will they get out of the cage
