As you are aware brothers and sisters, the Quranic verses are continuously changing, the interpretations are changed every now and then, there are different schools of thought that have there very own handy meaning to the same verses that you and I read. Some slightly adjust it so it fits the current theory and what they want to prove.
In future if Scientists modify pigs genetically, so that they eat and behave like sheep, is it possible that the people during that time will manage to manipulate the same verses that talk about pig being haram and make pigs halal, maybe they can re-interpret the verse and blame the incorrect translation, a word before or after can be used to say genetically modified pigs are halal (of course not to mention about the miracle the quran foretold about genetically modified pigs centuries earlier, another miracle)
Would you eat a halal vegi pig (looks like pig but eats and acts like sheep)?
