Will Prince Charles dish out Maundy Money?

when he first does this, will it have to be 1p each? i.e. 1p per year of his reign. To me that would be unacceptable given the devaluation of the pound over the reign of the Queen.

Explaining to the Queen that 60p is not worth much is probably difficult, but do you think that Charles will at least increase it to a few quid per year of his reign, otherwise people simply aren't going to be bothered turning up to collect it.

I'd bring back the tradition where the king washed the feet of poor people on Maundy Thursday (based on Jesus washing the feet of his disciples to show he was a servant and not master)
