My tiels had 5 eggs and the pair were wonderful at always taking turns sitting on the eggs. (the boy usually sits on them 90% of the time, only leaving to eat and that's when the girl takes over). The only issue is that they were in the living room and everyone kept peeking in the nest box to hopefully see a new baby. They didn't mind, if anything they tried to bite or hissed at us. We NEVER touched them or their eggs. Anyhow, my husband and I decided it would be best to move the entire cage to another less popular room of the house for privacy. We did this as careful as possible- male never even left the box. Once settled in the new room, male peeked out and then got out. They kept chirping at us. We thought they were just observing the new room, but its been hours and neither one has got back in the box. Did we mess up by moving them? Like I said, we had no contact with the eggs or box at all, just the cage which has the box attached. Will they ever get back in?*** I am looking for an honest answer- please dont judge me or lecture me about why I shouldn't breed them.***
