I'm going to be making peppermint bark this weekend and I wanted to use this recipe becsuse in past years the two layers of dark and white chocolate have come apart, and there isn't anything I can do to fix it once that's happened. I would really love to avoid that, and I thought by using this recipe I might be able to. Please let me know what you think!
Peppermint Bark Recipe
Ingreedients
- 1 Bag of white chocolate chips
- 1 Bag of dark chocolate chips
- 1 tsp of peppermint extract
- 1 Box of peppermint candy*
Directions
- Use blender to break up candy canes. Line pan with wax paper and set aside. Use double boiler to melt dark chocolate while microwaving white chocolate. Pour dark chocolate into pan on top of wax paper. Stir candy canes (leave some crushed candy canes to add to top for astetics) and peppermint extract into white chocolate and pour on top of dark chocolate. Add extra peppermint on top for decoration. Refigerate until hard.*
