I really want a new phone, but I'm not eligible for an upgrade, so that means I would have to pay FULL PRICE! So I sent this email to Verizon. I heard if you tell them you are leaving, they will give a deal to stay. Do u think it will work?
Here is what I wrote to Verizon Wireless (I sent it already, so don't tell me to change it):
Hi.
I have an account here with Verizon. I am the second line of a two line family plan (this plan includes a two year contract). I like your service, for the most part. But there is a major issue, this issue has high potential to drive us to leave your service. I have a 3G Multimedia phone(I have a Samsung Rogue), but I would like to upgrade to a smartphone. Because my line has only been around for about 3 months, I'm not eligible for an upgrade. So if I want a new phone, I would have to pay FULL PRICE. That is a lot of money, most people can't afford to spend that much on phones. The following phones are the ones that I would like to buy: Palm Pre Plus (not Pixi Plus), Motorola Droid, or HTC Incredible. Unless I could get one of those phones for FREE or an EXTREMELY inexpensive price, we are most likely leaving Verizon for AT&T. We also have the support of our friends who are considering leaving if I can't get one of those phones for FREE (or EXTREMELY inexpensive). Just to let you know, my plan is already compatible with a smartphone. Thank you!
