Will using 15V on a 12V DC Motor overheat and damage the coils of the DC Motor?

Will that much of a difference in voltage from the recommended voltage efficiency of this 12V DC motor affect it much at all over time? OR are the effects negligible? For larger voltages and larger DC motors I understand this would obviously be crucial for operation over long periods of times, but for a small project, what are the consequences, if any?
 
Generally no. Of course I don't know what 12v motor you have. You probably would not want to go over 15 volts though.
