Will Verizon's VCAST "mobile web 2.0" plan work on PDA/Smartphones?

I currently have Verizon Wireless as my cell phone provider, and I do not want to change.

I have an enV phone, and looking to upgrade to a PDA/Smartphone, specifically the Samsung SCH-i760.

I know this particular phone does not support VCAST, but I just want to know if I keep the VCAST package on my plan, will I still have unlimited internet? I use the internet A LOT on my current phone (checking email mostly), and the plan is only $15 a month, I do not what to have to buy the "PDA package" which is $35+ a month.

Does anyone know the answer to this??

Bummer, that's what I was afraid of. I was going to buy the phone off of craigslist and activate it myself (over the phone vs going to store). I know if I take it to the store to have activated, they will take VCAST off, and tell me that I need the other plan.

I was wondering if anyone has done this, and still had their unlimited internet w/o Verizon knowing about it...

For someone who has done this with Verizon ill tell u that no PDA/ Smartphones do not support VCAST. The SCH-i760 does however have Windows Mobile which means it has Internet Explorer but u will NOT keep the unlimited internet unless u buy the "PDA package". The PDA package actually has unlimited data usage which is what PDA/Smartphones use as a way to calculate how much u are using. If u don't have the "PDA package" then u will have to pay 10 cents/KB which adds up VERY quickly especially if u use the internet a lot (I used it sparingly and still racked up $85 a month). Even worse if you have unlimited text and pix it doesn't matter because the picture messages cost u by the KB (same as above). So overall if you are a business person and really need a PDA/Smartphone its best to buy the unlimited data plan (PDA Package) but personally with Verizon I'd just stay away from Smartphones all together
