I feel so much better about my self and the world as a whole with the holy spirit inside of me. Please pray for others that don't believe, and that my sins will one day be forgiven. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ.
I sure do pray that God continues to grow your spiritual relationship with Him and guides your spiritual walk. If you just accepted Christ, your sins have been forgiven. Receive God's forgiveness and move forward in true newness of life.
jason...i'm happy for you my friend! you are still a babe in the word, taking on baby steps and eventually you will become mature and be helping those who are taking baby steps, you are doing the right thing! in your soul and heart you feel it too, because maybe you've been searching and what is true and not hurtfull now has a hold of you like never before because you have choosen to allow Jesus to come into your heart and you have choosen to believe in Him. My friend, if you are sincere and confess your sins to God, He will be faithfull and just toward you and forgive you. He will cast your sins into the sea of forgetfullness and you don't have to worry about Him holding things you did in your past against you, as far as He is concerned, it's gone, He doesn't even remember it no more. Stay envolved in the church, they will help you to grow, get envolved with bible study and reading the word daily, even if it's just a little bit. Pray more to God, you can talk to Him just as He is right in front of you, he knows all your fears and what's on your mind but wants to hear you talk to Him about things. You'll start to notice Him responding back to you, don't be afraid, just do what you know is right, God won't tell you anything hurtfull or wrong, remember that always, He will never leave or forsake you, He is a true friend in deed. The fact that ou ask us to pray for others who don't beleive shows how pure you are in heart. You care about the others and want them to be saved too and that's a blessing working in you already. When things seem to get hard, just know God is with you and He wants to see how you handle situations, He's testing you, don't fail the tests my friend. Things will get better as you grow toward Him. c-ya
You are going to get a lot of people criticizing you here, but I will tell you that I will pray for you- I do have a suggestion as well. You will see the world differently now that accepted Christ- I will pray for your protection against the evil one. Welcome to the family of God!!
If you have accepted Jesus as your Saviour, your sins ARE forgiven already.
“ For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
Congratulations. I am delighted and rejoice with you Jason. If you have accepted Christ, have you repented of your sins? And have you obeyed Jesus Christ and gone into a water baptism of repentance for the remission of your sins (Mark 1:4), a baptism as an adult by full immersion, in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, as Jesus commanded (Matthew 28:19). so that you can receive the gift of the Holy Spirit? (Acts 2:38). If not, then the Holy Spirit doesn't dwell inside of you. We have to show our love for Christ to be blessed with His present INSIDE of us (John 14:15, 21 & 23)
If you have truly repented of your sins and been water baptised in a baptism of repentance for the remission of your sins, then the Bible verse 1 John 1:9 applies to you; it says, "If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness".
This means that your sins will not one day be forgiven, but they are ALREADY forgiven the moment you truly repented.
Did you know that water baptism now also saves us.....through Christ's resurrection? (1 Peter 3:21). We are saved by the washing of regeneration (water baptism) and renovation of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5). He who believes and is baptised shall be saved (Mark 16:16).
Look up these verses and you will see that it is so. Then you can make arrangements to be properly saved by water baptism into Christ's death and buried with Him etc (Romans 6: 3 & 4) so that God can then crucify for you, your old man (Romans 6:6) - (that's your old Adamic sin nature), and you will be adopted into God's family by the Spirit of Adoption (H.S.) and will even have an inner witness that you are truly God's child (Romans 8: 15-17) for we are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus and by being water baptised into Christ, thereby you "put on Christ" (Galatians 3: 26 & 27), then God will deliver you OUT OF Satan's kingdom of darkness and translate you INTO the kingdom of the Son of God's love (Colossians 1:13).
In baptism, Christ comes with H.S (Matt 3:11, Mark 1:8, Luke 3:16, John 1:33) and HIMSELF washes you from your sins in His own Blood (Rev 1:5). Without this washing, H.S. cannot live inside of you because your temple/body inside is not washed clean and renovated into a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
lol. mind sharing with the rest of the atheist community what amazing evidence convinced you the christian god exists. otherwise i am to assume you were a terrible skeptical atheist.
You are going to need accurate knowledge of God and his Son Jesus.
(John 17:2-3) .*.*.. 3*This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.
You will lose your belief in God if you listen to false "Christians". There is only one religion. (Ephesians 4:4-6) 4*One body there is, and one spirit, even as YOU were called in the one hope to which YOU were called; 5*one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6*one God and Father of all [persons], who is over all and through all and in all.
One God and one way to believe in him. Doesn't that seem logical? How can all these religions please God? Here is how you can find the true religion. Pray sincerely to God to show you the way. He will guide you.
The true religion?
(1) On what are its teachings based? Are they from God, or are they largely from men? (2 Tim. 3:16; Mark 7:7) Ask, for example: Where does the Bible teach that God is a Trinity? Where does it say that the human soul is immortal?
(2) Consider whether it is making known the name of God. Jesus said in prayer to God: “I have made your name manifest to the men you gave me out of the world.” (John 17:6) He declared: “It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.” (Matt. 4:10) Has your religion taught you that ‘it is Jehovah you must worship’? Have you come to know the Person identified by that name—his purposes, his activities, his qualities—so that you feel you can confidently draw close to him?
(3) Is true faith in Jesus Christ being demonstrated? This involves appreciation of the value of the sacrifice of Jesus’ human life and of his position today as heavenly King. (John 3:36; Ps. 2:6-8) Such appreciation is shown by obeying Jesus—sharing personally and zealously in the work that he assigned to his followers. True religion has such faith that is accompanied by works.—Jas. 2:26.
(4) Is it largely ritualistic, a formality, or is it a way of life? God strongly disapproves of religion that is merely a formalism. (Isa. 1:15-17) True religion upholds the Bible’s standard of morality and clean speech instead of weakly going along with popular trends. (1 Cor. 5:9-13; Eph. 5:3-5) Its members reflect the fruits of God’s spirit in their lives. (Gal. 5:22, 23) So, those who adhere to true worship can be identified because they sincerely endeavor to apply Bible standards in their lives not only at their places of meeting but in their family life, at their secular work, in school, and in recreation.
(5) Do its members truly love one another? Jesus said: “By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.” (John 13:35) Such love reaches across racial, social, and national boundaries, drawing people together in genuine brotherhood. So strong is this love that it sets them apart as being truly different. When the nations go to war, who have enough love for their Christian brothers in other lands that they refuse to take up arms and kill them? That is what early Christians did.
(6) Is it truly separate from the world? Jesus said that his true followers would be “no part of the world.” (John 15:19) To worship God in a manner that he approves requires that we keep ourselves “without spot from the world.” (Jas. 1:27) Can that be said of those whose clergy and other members are involved in politics, or whose lives are largely built around materialistic and fleshly desires?—1 John 2:15-17.
(7) Are its members active witnesses concerning God’s Kingdom? Jesus foretold: “This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.” (Matt. 24:14) What religion is really proclaiming God’s Kingdom as the hope of mankind instead of encouraging people to look to human rulership to solve their problems? Has your religion equipped you to share in this activity, and to do it from house to house as Jesus taught his apostles to do?—Matt. 10:7, 11-13; Acts 5:42; 20:20.
