Just wanna get some ideas 
I am writing a story and it has to do with dreams, it is fictional so all answers are welcomed. So far I have reincartion, and the dreams are events in our past lives, dreaming in other dimensions, our thoughts throughout the day, our past thoughts and events from when we were little, desires/hopes etc... That kind of stuff.
So basically I am asking, your theory of where dreams come from? Are they sent to you? Do we make them up?
