I just had a new compressor installed on my old faithful ford pickup. Well this shop converted it to R134a without my knowledge, and now it blows 10 degrees warmer. I took the truck back to the A/C shop and complained, and they said it won't blow as cold as the R12 did. Well I raised a big enough fuss, that they agreed to convert it back to R12 free of charge, if I supply the R12, along with mineral oil. I know R12 is bad for the ozone layer, but I ain't dealing with a 10 degree loss. Should I do this, or just leave the A/C alone and deal with the slightly warmer air.
