About seven years ago, I fell in love with a guy. We worked for the same organization. He's pretty shy, but I got the feeling he had a little crush on me. I can be shy myself, so I attempted to ask him out, but in a very open-ended sort of way. Nothing ever came of it. Either he was not interested, involved with someone else, or thought it would be too awkward as we worked for the same organization. I've been with my current boyfriend 5 years. I love him, and we're completely faithful. I found this other guy on myspace, and wonder if it would be weird to friend request him. It was sort've awkward between us after I asked him out, and though we weren't very close friends, we respected and admired each other. I was just wondering if it would be weird of me to contact him after all this time to be friends. I would never cheat on my boyfriend, but I like this guy (platonically), I'm over him, and I genuinely want to be his friend. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
