Would it be interesting if someone talks about nomads?

I am in college first year, taking Public speech class. Tomorrow is the day we are supposed to give self- introductory speech. Crap! I forgot. So I am planning to talk about my home country, especially nomadic culture. It is only 5 minutes.

So I am just wondering that would people be interested in that if I talk about nomadic culture and people live that way or it is better to talk about something else, about my major- Biology, human cloning or something.

My instructor told us to talk about something special in our lives, but I don't see anything special in my life, really.
