Would it not be cheaper to introduce universal healthcare to the USA?

Cheaper for who exactly?

People who can pay for it should pay for it, and people who cant shouldnt buy it.

Should the Government also make universal car dealers to enforce that auto companies make their cars cheap enough for every to buy?

I think from an Independent standpoint that it COULD be a good thing.

But...

As England and other countries have found out, illegals will continue to use emergency rooms for Doctor visits and it breaks the system in a different way.

So I think if its going to be done it needs to be thought through better than the bastard bill we got from the Dems this last time which is nothing but a payoff from the Insurance and Pharmaceutical Industries. If you don't believe me, who paid them to vote on it as is. USA Families did, the lobbying arm of the above mentioned.

Universal health care also needs to be a separate entity from the government, and paid for with a national sales tax so everyone has some skin in the game. Limiting taxing to a certain population is dangerous because you are counting on that population to always have the money. Which is part of our problem now.

So i think it would be good, but in a completely different form than we have now. Obamacare is the worst of all healthcare bills ever created.

Yes, put everyone into the Medicare pool and the average cost would go down. The cost of profit and advertising would be gone and the govt could use the size of the pool to negotiate better prices.

It would be way cheaper.
First, you'd cut out millions of insurance company jobs.
And profits.

You'll see all sorts of complaints.
But here's the truth.
From former Michigan governor Jennifer Granholm.

Working conditions, environmental laws, benefits, etc are similar in the US and Canada.
However, Canada has universal health care.
Manufacturers don't have to pay for it.
More cars are manufactured in Ontario than in Detroit.
And health insurance is one reason.

SO, not only would it be cheaper, but US products would be a bit more price competitive around the world.
Interesting how many people seem to think what a bad idea that is.
