I'm supposed to be on the track team when I start school in a week, I was supposed to train over the summer but I only went to the track to run a couple times. It just never worked out, I would get up and it would be raining or I'd walk there in the evening and there would be a soccer practice. Also, I don't like the idea of going there alone since I'm not some big buff person, I'm a 15 year old girl. Also, it's usually really smoggy by the evenings which makes it difficult to breathe. Anyways, I ride the exercise bike we have occasionally and do 8 miles. If I did this daily (or maybe every other day) would that be the equivalent of running? Like would I still build up my endurance and get a good cardio workout and all that?
