would Tmobile be a good carrier to get my first phone with?

The majority of my family uses tmobile and that's what they are advising me to get. I am a person who does talk on the phone occassionally, but I know I will not use my phone constantly.
 
no no no don't get tmobil! i had it and i would actually have to go in the middle of the street to use it but to be fair i do kinda live in the country. i have at&t now and i love it!
