The main protagonist in my story is female, but has a rather androgynous personality. she was raised by a warrior, trained as one herself (though i wouldn't consider her overly battle-hardened, just clever and aware of how to protect herself), and is mostly surrounded my male characters so sexual tension does not really exist between them. i guess you could say she's "one of the guys". that said i wouldn't call her masculine because she can be nurturing, but she just isn't girly, and is somewhat stoic. she does have a love interest, but for the most part she does not obsess over him or get overly emotional in the way that female characters generally do (she does have strong feelings for him, but usually forces them out of mind so that she can focus). for the most part she contemplates the war that surrounds her and themes like mortality, morality, and fear of death in relation with events that are happening to her and her companions throughout the story. she weighs the beliefs of other characters, be they devoutly religious, atheist, or agnostic, and tries to decide where her beliefs fit in. but i digress - i was just curious if you would be able to relate with this sort of character. any thoughts?
