Wtf is wrong with me? I want to be a gay guy??

I'm a girl and I want to fit in and have friends, so I try my best to do what my friends do, wear what they wear etc (I know it's a wussy thing to do but I'm past caring), and have done since I was about 10. Deep down though, I've never felt comfortable thinking of myself as a girl, or imagining myself doing what a woman does (and playing her role etc) for the rest of my life. I have problems with self esteem, but I find that if I stop thinking that I'm living my life as a girl and imagine that I'm a guy instead, I feel loads better about myself. It's hard to describe, but I feel like I shouldn't be a girl, like I have to ACT like a woman all the time, but I'm not 100% sure HOW to. The more masculine I dress, the more comfortable and confident I feel.

What I find even more weird than that, though, is that I'm not a lesbian- in fact, I love guys. On top of that, I don't like 'guy' things like sport or killing spiders lol. (I do like cars and kind of things that are 'for boys' though)
I think that I think like a guy, even with scientific style stuff, like I can't multitask but I'm great at reading maps XD

What's wrong with me? Are there other people out there like me, and if so, what are they called? I don't want a sex change or to dress as a guy or anything like that, it would upset my parents so much, and I'd hate all the attention I'd get for it.
 
honey there isnothing wrong with you, you CAN be straight and masculine i realy dont find anythink wrong with that or else you should be a transexual and a gay guy : )
 
There are more varieties of gender identity and sexual orientation than there are labels for them. There's nothing wrong with you. Some folks call themselves genderqueer, androgyne, boi, grrl, etc. Odds are good there are online communities with people just like you.
 
There's definitely nothing wrong with you. I guess I'm similar to you in a way or two.. You know, just be who you think you want to be. At the end of the day, its your happiness which you're most concerned about and not what people think about you. Noone can ever have everyone like her. I love dressing the more masculine way as in jeans and shirt cos I find that kind of dressing more comfortable. It is all about who you are and what you like.
 
There's nothing wrong with being a masculine girl or a feminine guy hey if it makes you feel more comfortable hang out with people who are like you and don't think guys dislike masculine girls.
 
just be yourself and do what makes you happy considering your parents, beliefs etc. thats normal, so u don't want to be barefoot and pregnant, what is wrong with that? there are women who never get married and focus on their work/careers. your life is what you make of it, dont get caught up in stereotypes! some guys do like masculine women. ha, look at george foreman's wife.

a gay guy 1st I heard that but I'm a male lesbian

I dress as a female and certainly prefer that mode of dress,I feel more relaxed when dressed and probably act femme
but regarding sex I am 100%male

so in a way we are similar opposites

not much help i'm afraid but you now know your not alone
 
Hmm..you should choose who you are? Are you a masculine woman, or are you going to be FTM transexuals. Who do you think you are?
 
Nothing is wrong with you, many people experience these feelings. You need to work on your self-esteem and accepting your feelings...

Take your time, and maybe in a few years if you still feel exactly hte same you can go about changing to a guy. You'll have to dress like a man and take hormone pills for a year before they will operate on you.

Look online for other people who have had similiar experiences, this might help.
 
It's a very common thing, there is nothing wrong with you for feeling that way so don't let it get you down, wear what you feel comfortable in & anyone who judges you for doing so are obviously just narrow minded, you shouldn't have to dress like something specific to please people, do as you like and enjoy life!
