I've heard a lot about this every since HD-DVD lost. Wouldn't blu ray be patented by Sony? If it is, why would Sony allow it's rival to incorporate it? Note this is not a ps3 vs xbox 360 discussion, I'm just asking from a business point of view.

Thanks

Microsoft stated that they would not be integrsting the BlueRay format for the 360. Sony did offer some kind of deal.

Not to say that Microsoft wont get together an external solution but they arnt leaning toward that yet. Amazing that the BlueRay prices have dropped about 5$ on average since the hammer dropped on HDDVD.

I read an article in reference to the Xbox 360 and Blu-Ray and Microsoft said that they are not talking with Sony for adapting Blu-Ray in the 360.

However, Sony would be making money off of Microsoft if they allowed them to have Blu-Ray in the 360, but it seems as if it's not going to happen.

no caus blue ray is a type of disk just caus ps3 has it in the system does not give it the authority to say who can use it. meaning they got it from the owner and put it in the system. they did not make it. so 360 could just do the same thing even though the graphics are better on hd the blue ray caus iv seen both blue ray is blurry when it comes to the back round details and focuses on the center and hd is all around the center might not be as detailed but the whole picture is way better
