Yorkie????????????

My friend has a yorkie and she's says they are really good dogs and I'v been wondering if they really would be good in my family. My brother has a black lab mix who is kinda old.would the yorkie be ok around a dog that's twice it's size???i also have one yonger brother.are yorkies ok with other little kids?

Yorke's like to be top dog. So it can be iffy I would defiantly do some serious research before making the plunge.
 
I have heard that yorkies can be nippy, and not recommended for families with young children. There is a yorkie in my dog's training class who is extremely nippy, so no, I would not recommend them with small children.
 
The yorkie should be fine as long as the other dog is well trained and gentle. Introduce them carefully, thats all. Yorkies are great dogs, teach him to be good with kids, but also teach the child to be gentle with the dog, they can be very fragile so make sure he knows how to handle the little guy.
 
yes they are great dogs and i wouldnt worry about a size problem because i have a golden retriever and a teacup chiuaua.....
 
My Friend Has A Yorkie, And Her Yorkie Is Definatly Not Good With Young Children, But I Have A Minutature Maltese And They Are Excellent With Children And People Of All Ages, They Are Great Dogs!
