Moms, while on vacation do you work around nap time with your younger kids or do you just let them nap while your out and about doing activities?

Were going on vacation in about 2 weeks and i'm planning on going back to the hotel for nap time since its a short drive to our hotel from each place that we will be while there for a week.

Just wondering.
We keep our stroller with us so that if she's feeling tired or sluggish she can nap when she wants, but she has a pretty set nap time each day and it seems that she's always ready for a nap then too...she's 2.
Annie: I agree with you..it seems that my daughter does so much better as far as behavior goes if she has a nap that is actually in a bed, verses a stroller or car seat. My daughter usually goes down between 2 and 3 depending, which seems a bit late for nap time, but she's always did this and it just became a schedule and it works for us.

Both my kids napped well in there strolller so, that is what I did. Not everyday of the vacation but some days. I did plan for us to be at the hotel atleast 1/2 of the days we are on vacation so they could have there 'normal" routine...lunch..a little down time and nappy. if we were "out and about" they had no problems sleeping in the stroller.

2-3 is a good nap time when you are on vacation. IT gives you the whole morning and most of the afternoon to do stuff. then go back for a nap...and after nap you still have time to have fun.

We try to get back to where we're staying, but that's not always what happens. We keep the Ergo with us so she can nap on the go.

I have a 3 year old daughter, and she's very adaptable. Since you'll be on vacation, I would just bring along a stroller and let your little one nap while you're out doing stuff. You might find it easier to let him/her tire themselves out during your activities. In my experience, my daughter being in a different place is off schedule because she's not in her normal nap zone. She tends to do exactly the opposite of what I try to plan....but she somehow goes back to normal routine at home (well, she did when she was a toddler!). Just enjoy yourselves. Kids can nap anywhere without you having to take a time-out from your vacation :)

***I like what Annie above me advised about taking the nap time advantage of having a break, too. You'll feel it out and make the best choice for your baby....and for you!

sure,if they're tired hahah ..or maybe they could sleep on the car or something
