I have a 1970 buick skylark and i believe that i burnt out the starter on it i have a 455ci engine, and i would like to know how difficult it would be for myself and or a shop to replace the starter with regards to the actual labour intensity of the job..

i have added a new motor hooked up everything electrical everything turns on but nothing happens and nothing cranks over what could it be a wire ?

I wanna keep my 1970 Chevy 292 inline 6 engine clean...but I wanna know whats the best way to do it..and what products to use? i've heard just plain water, @ a car wash does the job...but is it safe?
