I was driving it and when i let off the gas the dash said transmission Program and then acted like it was it neutral the whole way. WHen you start the car You can put it in gear but it doesn't shift at all anyone help?

I have the above chevy. when trying to open the window (electric windows) from the passenger side it will not open, However you can close it using the passenger side. The driver side will both open and close the window. Any suggestions as to what might be broken, or how to fix said problem? thanks.
