i took my dash apart and there was ahuge spark and now the lights and radio inside dont work at all.. what could have happened and how can i fix it?

it leaks gas from the carb? Does anyone know whats wrong or is this normal. It does not seem to leak any other way just standing up. If you have any idea why it does this let me know.
