i want to get a ninja 250 but my father recommends that i get an 883 sportster. i wanna start on a small bike for the mpg and for the easier time learning to ride. i personally don't like the cruiser bikes but do you think that they are safer and more fun? will i grow to like the cruiser bikes?

stop driving it. You need to check your lugnuts and make sure they're good and tight. If that isn't the problem its probably the bearings. Just order some more and change them out if you know how. If not take it to a atv repair shop or the dealer and tell them you need new bearings in the rear end.
