the 4x4 wont engage . the front drive line lock but the front axles wont engage . it's on the fly no locking hubs. the is no strangew noise's when i try to shift into 4hi or 4 lo.the little lite dont come on , on the floor were you shift was servised about 2 1/2 yr ago . all cv's were replaced...

4L80E Transmission is stuck in drive. Have checked linkage and have changed fluid and filter. You can hear it trying to go into reverse and neutral, but it just doesn't happen. Also, when driving, it will shift into neutral. Any ideas? I hate to spend the money on a rebuild, if I don't have to.
