The car shifts up through all the gears fine, but will not go down into 3rd at all. Second and first are possible, but only with a bit of grinding. The car has about 60K miles on it.
Any ideas on how I might fix this?
I have a 2004 Toyota Tacoma. 2.4L, 2RZ-FE, 2WD, five-speed. I was wondering if anyone knows what model of transmission (Aisin?) I have, and if it is interchangeable with one of the new Toyota 6-speed transmissions.
