I'm going to SC to pursue my phd degree. I want to have a bike as my full-time transportation. But my friend told me the insurance fee for a bike is much higher than that for a car. I want to buy a 2002 YZF R6, don't know how much the insurance fee would be in SC. And I'm turning 25 this fall.
to be honest go for option 1. riding a 125cc for a good few months and then to go to a superbike is no joke. i did the same. i rode a 50cc two stroke and then whent to 400cc, then 600cc and will probably go to 1000cc in a year or so... as you get more experienced so does the hunger for bigger...
I'm a 17 year old guy. Before you all go saying how I wont be mature enough or strong enough or don't have enough experience with bikes, first of all my maturity level is higher than most in my high school. I am 6 foot tall, 200lbs (linebacker lol) so I'm not some scrawny little kid. Also, from...

I want to get a 600cc sport bike (crotch rocket) this by next spring and I was wondering what brand to get. I know with a lot of this kind of stuff people say they are all good just go with what brand you like but I just want to know if anyone has pros and cons of any specific models that they...
I've been riding dirtbikes for about 10 years, not racing or anything but my whole family rides and I feel like I have great control, I rode my uncles YZ450 with no problems keeping it under control, but I have never actually ridden a streetbike. I know it would be smarter to get a Ninja250 but...
I was thinking of taking my ride to the track and seeing what I can do with it. I have a 2008 R6S (600cc) bike and I went to the dealership the other day and bought some oil from them. They told me that the 20W50 yamalube (the gold bottle) would be okay for my bike. So i changed the oil and out...

...on 1st gear? I was wondering what are the maximum RPM of the engine when you start on first gear without making your front tire lift off and still start as soon as possible.By the way , at how much RPM do you engage the clutch of a sports bike when you set off?

Am looking for a 600cc Naked bike, what is out there? for a fair price range (i am on a 6k limited budget)
also i just sold my 250cc, is a 600cc that much of a power difference?
I am 6'2'' 205lbs. I drive on all roads and want a sport bike. I have very little experience and will not be riding at 100mph on the shoulder. I know that a 250cc is easier to handle and learn how to ride. However, I have heard that it is not smart for a larger person who wants to ride on...
