    Can you jog with a baseball bat?

    I jog with a mini-baseball bat and I was just wondering if it is a crime. I actually carry it in case a criminal or animal attempts to attack. Can I get in trouble for this? The baseball bat is about 1/3 of an actual MLB slugger. It's a Louisville Slugger so it still is sturdy. I live in California.
