there is a possibilty that your fuel pressure regulator could be bad keepinf pressure low at initial start up, when pressure test was done did we check 10 second bleed down

ok i have a sm465 in my blazer and i only have 1st gear.. and im pretty sure that the kickdown cable is not connected but i dont even know what that is . and where to connect it to the 350 diesel engine it has. why does it only stay in first gear?
