My Magnavox blueray player will sometimes not play DVDs. And yes, it is compatible with DVDs. It will come up as a black screen and make a whirring sound. It will play the same DVDs sometimes and other times it won't.

I recently bought Zookeeper on DVD. I tried to play it in my Blue-Ray player but it wouldn't work. It worked fine in my Xbox as well as on my computer. I ended up returning it and buying another one but it still won't play on the Blue-Ray player. Anyone know why?
