Aimersoft dvd creator is burning slow! help!?

Why is my DVD burning process taking FOREVER?
I am using an HP Mini with 1G RAM, 1.6GHz, 32-bit. My OS is Windows 7. My burner software is Nero. And my external DVD writer is Samsung SE-SO84 and based on its specs its data transfer rate for DVD+R should be 10.8MB/sec. I'm currently trying to burn a 4.5G worth of movies with a blank DVD... -

Error burning to DVD-R disk. How can I fix this?
So, I was burning one of my videos to a DVD-R using Windows DVD Maker, it was Encoding up to 90% when I accidentally ejected the disk when I bumped into my laptop. Afterwards, every time I've tried to burn the video I get a message saying it is not a recordable DVD. It's still completely blank...- languid_lass

When using windows media player, i'm trying to burn some DVDs but however after I burn the onto a disc (DVD-R) they will only play on my PC or on a computer, but never in a DVD player or Playstation etc... Please Help -

How do I change the output video codec to DivX when burning to a CD?
I'm trying to burn some .avi video files onto a CD-R, but my PS3 can't read the disc because the files don't have the DivX codec. How do I change the output codec and what program(s) will let me do this? Thanks.- RedRaptor10

I am trying to burn a 1.36GiB movie to a dvd using DivX Plus Player but it wont do it. The disc size is 4.7Gb and the file format is AVI so there is more than enough space in the disc.
