The battery is on the left side underneath some hoses and underneath this long metal bar that connects to the fender to the front of the car. It looks like a support rod or something and its also on the other side.

Its my moms car and she drove it around all day with no problems until she was on her way home and it started shaking badly and died. It starts up fine but as soon as you put it in gear it dies... i recently changed the fuel filter and oil. A friend said it might be the fuel pump.
