    why does my timing chain on my 98 s10 2.2 make noise only when the truck is warmed

    up to operating temp? Its got 84k miles on it, when the truck is cold there is no noise only when warmed uo the sound is coming right where the timing chain is located on the truck engine. any ideas? Also if its the tensioners how long can i drive before replacing them?
