dome light stays on due to "open door" when they are closed. How can I fix this?

I thought it was crashing so I quit the program and reopened it.
Upon doing so, the torrents that were downloading were lost. I'm left with incomplete files, and when I try and re-open the torrents, it doesn't want to work =/
