I want Gears of War 2 for the story but i'm in the middle between Left 4 Dead and COD 5 for online gameplay. I'm a huge COD online fan but i have no idea about Left 4 Dead if that's a kind of online game play i want but Gears of War 2 sounds good too. Which one is a better buy.

whenever i try to start one, i get my friends to refresh the list and they cannot find it. They also tried friend invites, and joining game from xfire but the connection timed out. Anybody know how to fix these problems?
