My 1996 Dodge Dakota 5.2L has a flickering oil light. Temperature seems fine, and oil pressure guage is in the middle. Their is also no weird sounds coming from the motor. Could the oil pressure sending unit be bad? Other than the oil light the engine sounds, and runs fine.

it has 180,000 plus miles but is in great shape runs great. i am looking for something 4 wheel drive.

Dude it might be the transmission, reverse might be messed up and ur lower gears such as first and second could be going as well thats why its fine on the freeway but not in the city... good luck with that man!

129000 miles no history of bad problems...

i've cleaned the idle air control valve, still won't start. how can i check for fuel pressure if it won't start? if it is a fuel pressure issue, what is the remedy?

it used to stall during idle but if i drove it for a minute it was fine for the rest of the day. now when i can get it to start it dies pretty much right away. i have already changed fuel pump and filter.
