My 1996 Dodge Dakota 5.2L has a flickering oil light. Temperature seems fine, and oil pressure guage is in the middle. Their is also no weird sounds coming from the motor. Could the oil pressure sending unit be bad?
Other than the oil light the engine sounds, and runs fine.
Dude it might be the transmission, reverse might be messed up and ur lower gears such as first and second could be going as well thats why its fine on the freeway but not in the city... good luck with that man!
I would like to know how many miles people are getting from this newer V-8 Dodge dropped the 318 in favor of? How could Dodge get any more stupid?? Anyway, I almost did not get my 2003 Dakota because of that. I have 78,000 on mine as I write this on this little truck with zero problems. I know...
What would be the coolest setup for the muffler tips on an 05 red dakota? straight out the back with angle cut tips or just straight cut tips? have them angled behind the rear tires with angle cut or straight cut? Any ideas would help for something that would be unique. Not just an exhaust like...
i've cleaned the idle air control valve, still won't start. how can i check for fuel pressure if it won't start? if it is a fuel pressure issue, what is the remedy?
it used to stall during idle but if i drove it for a minute it was fine for the rest of the day. now when i can get it to start it dies pretty much right away. i have already changed fuel pump and filter.
I have been looking at trucks to buy and was wondering people's opinion on v6 vs v8. I haven't ever done any hauling and really don't plan on it anytime soon. V8 are more expensive but i hear V6 is better on gas mileage. I am only looking at trucks because I do not want another car. I plan...
I'm contemplating purchasing a 2002 Sport model Dodge Dakota Club Cab with front end damage. I will be needing the hood, bumper, both fenders, and grill section and need to know what year(s) had the same body style for interchanging parts.
Information about where to find the parts at a...
I just bought a dakota from a friend with 230,000 Miles on it. I bought it really cheap and it seems to be a good running truck. I just wanted to know if any of you guy's out there have a similar truck. The only thing I am not sure about is the automatic Transmission. Do they normally hold up...
we are going on a long trip and want to be prepared. We are going to buy a jack in case we get a flat. The factory one that came with it when we bought it (used) is too small. The truck is a 2002 Dodge Dakota, quad cab. What size of jack do we need to buy? Thanks

I took the vehicle to a repair shop. They were mentioning that I'd have to replace the whole transmission. Although I did some searching online and most people say I would only need to replace the govener solenoid, and probably fluids too. This code came up after I had to replace a bad battery...
Oh sorry - the 99 Wrangler has 58000 miles and other than a rip in the drivers seat, it is spotless inside.
The Dakota is rusting around the rear tires and has 158,000 miles on it. Trade in value is about $1500 at best (V6 auto with new tires, extended cab). It's paid for so it is not like we...
Does anyone know I can't find it anywhere. And also i just put a new headunit in my truck. When i turn the volume all the way up the factory speakers are like statiky and it sounds horrible. Will new speakers make it sound a lot clearer w/o an amp??
u think crutchfield's sizes are correct?
