dinner

This Saturday my boyfriend and I are attending his immediate families christmas dinner. First one I've been to. Now i don't know what to cook. I can't show his mom up and make a big dish but i don't wanna just make plain old cookies or fudge again. Any suggestions?

I need to know if I should use He or him in this sent.
