i use dvds and i have'nt seen anyone use blank blue ray disc or blue ray writer.i;ve just seen blue ray movie discs at malls

I have an acer aspire 5740 and it does include a blue ray disc drive but whenever I go to play the DVD using Acer Arcade Deluxe, it comes up with The program can't start because MSVCR71.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. Help please
