...getting up/up stairs he "whines" in pain.? I am giving him aspirin and he is resting I am trying not to let him get excited or jump and if he does he "whines". will he heal himself? or do I need to go to vet? he isn't limping or anything.

My vet suggested benadryl but that had zero effect. We've tried crating him, putting him in bed with us, but nothing seems to chill him out....I'm desperate. Please help!!!!
