    Am I able to connect to DSL w/o file sharing?

    I read some info about routers and adapter cards but still unsure. Can I simply purchase an adapter card w/o router to use relative's DSL? Is a router an absolute? My relative is not pc-savy and always under attack....with only an adapter and my lap's firewall, will I be immune from her bugs?

    Should my business switch from T1 to DSL for internet?

    I want to get fiber internet but it is not available in downtown Houston for less than $1000/mo. We have fiber at another location for $250/mo. The Houston location currently has a 1.5Mbs T1 that is too slow for the users. We could switch to DSL and get 6Mbs down and it is $600/mo cheaper...
