Besides the fact that a 1.6 would have more power. Surely all that matters is the mpg of the car and the C02 emissions, regardless of whether it is a 1.2 or a 1.6? Or are there other factors of a 1.6 I am missing out on?

less then the 2.5tdi quattro? Looking at the 2.8 avant quattro petrol as its cheaper than the 2.5tdi avant quattro , the 2.5tdi does around mid -high 30´s, whats the 2.8 petrol quattro economy like and is it nicer to drive also.
