enclosure

I am making a custom subwoofer enclosure, but i need to know how to build a connection terminal such as the ones in industrial sub boxes. It looks like a small clamp or a screw on clamp.

plug it into my tv it says dir root? i have about 15 films on there but i cant find them on hdd but when i hook it up to my laptop and look in the hdd the films are there,does anyone know whats wrong and how to fix it in laymens terms please and hopefully with freeware software.please help
