format

I want to make a home dvd but I'm not sure what format my dvd player accepts. I have lost the instruction manual so I can't check that. It is a Base dv-2303, if you're wondering. and by format i mean like, mov, flv, mpeg-2, mpeg-4, and stuff like that. Thanks :)
