I know you can't activate Verizon phones on Alltel plans, but since MetroPCS and U.S. Celluar AND "Alltel" offer the Samsung Freeform, would it work?

i just bought the samsung freeform and I have created some short ringtones and copied them to an SD card, and inserted the card but it will not let me set them as a ringtone, any ideas?

Does the Samsung Freeform from US Cellular require that you get the extra internet stuff like the smartphones do? Are you required to pay extra a month to get the phone?
