i have a 08 6 speed manual frontier. and ive race my friend who has a 5.0 gt...and i always take off on him from a straight line i think i get a truck and a half away from him but wen i hit 3rd gear at about 75 he gets away so why is that? i was thinking it might be because my truck has a limit...

my truck idles a bit high (1100rpm)when in park or when driving at slow speeds. is there anyway to lower it or adjust it somehow.

pump usually last in general? Its making an obvious loud idle noise but there are no visible leaks or difficulty in steering. Replace it?
