ok so i have the samsung galaxy s (captivate) and its rooted and it has third party apps enabled, if i upgrade will it unroot and/or dissable third party apps?

so I just downloaded the android 2.2 froyo update from the samsung support page... but it just said that it was installed onto my computer. and now I don't know where it is..and how do I actually transfer the update to my phone? I'm totally lost! please help!

games and apps? On any android tablet with 2.0 OS not froyo can you download and play any games and apps? I heard that alot of apps don't work on android tablets because they were configured for phones smaller screens. I also heard with the new 2.0 OS and above they can play all apps which is true.

I have the samsung intercept from virgin mobile and it currently has 2.1 software. I called virgin mobile and the lady said there is an app in the market where I can get the froyo 2.2 update or I can go on samsung's website?! I need help! I have the mytouch jack and want the new 2.2 update. I called t-mobile today and of course they were no help. My sister who has the mytouch (non jack) got her update in Oct/Nov. The guy on the phone said to go to the HTC web site and download it myself. Am I missing something? How do I get this...
