problem with Bars Leak? 1999 Subaru Outback. Overheating randomly. Clearly a bad head gasket! I have a can of Bars Leaks. I feel like I have nothing to lose by following the directions and dumping this stuff in... Any pointers or experience??
I believe I have a blown head gasket and heard about Steel Seal. My question is does it work?

I'm considering purchasing a 98 Subaru Outback Legacy, but the particular car has not had its head gasket replaced (and it's pretty much guaranteed that it will eventually go for that particular model/year). How much would it cost to have something like that done when it does go?

...partially Clogged! ? Help! Let me first say that I've mostly replaced the normal maintenance stuff like oil, oil filter, fuel filter and exhaust, installed Nitrous in another car as to the level of my experience and am now trying something a bit more difficult.
First I realize my car...
Should I rebuild the head too? I have been told that it is not a good idea to rebuild the head without also rebuiling the engine block. My car has 80,000 miles on it. I had a machine shop check the head for cracks, and none were found. They did test the head, and the middle cylinders do not...
