well, assuming the head gasket isn't bad, change the oil filter to a brand OTHER than fram. fram is bad. Use Purolator, Wix, Bosch, AC Delco, Napa.. if this doesn't help, and the oil level is full, the oil guage sensor could be bad, setting off the light. If this isn't it.. then at worst...

i have an 85 silverado, the gas gauge reads well above full no matter how much gas is in it, and when i turn the instrument lights on its the only one that doesnt light up. but, sometimes when it rains, it works fine... any help?

The gas gauge on my 94 ranger xlt keeps going between full and empty. Its almost acting like a tachometer. I cant figure out what the issue is, im thinking the cable is messed up.
