hangs

When I walk along the canals in North Port, FL, something seems to skip from the edge of the water and into deeper parts. I do not get a chance to see what it is, because it's just too fast. Does anyone know what fish is that? It seems like it sits somewhat in the water and some on the land...

...will any outboard hook up to this? The back of the boat is sort of U shaped (although a squared u) the bar suspends between the left side and the right side. The motor hangs on this bar. It is an OMC. I have never seen this before. Will any outboard fit? will any omc fit? It is a 6 cyl now.
